Permanent General Manager Appointment
- 29 January 2020 -
GLADSTONE Engineering Alliance would like to announce the permanent appointment of Chantale Lane as GEA General Manager.
GEA Board President Anthony Buenen said since being appointed Acting GM, Ms Lane had embraced the role and made it her own.
“Over the past six months GEA has gone from strength to strength under Ms Lane’s leadership,” Mr Buenen said.
“We’ve seen growth in membership, and have received enormous positive feedback regarding the organisation’s renewed direction since Ms Lane stepped into the role.
“And most importantly the entire GEA Team, board, staff and Ms Lane, share a collective and cohesive vision for GEA’s integral role in the Gladstone Region community.”
Ms Lane said her decision to accept the permanent GM position was an easy one.
“My team, the board and our members make GEA a dynamic place to work,” she said.
“And I truly believe in the work we do as Central Queensland’s peak industry supply chain body. I am passionate about promoting regional business for growth, diversity and sustainability.”
Ms Lane said she would like to thank both the board and staff for their support during GEA’s leadership transition.
“The board and my team have been hugely supportive, and there has been a strong collaborative approach to renewing GEA’s services to our members,” she said.
“This shift in organizational culture, reflected in how we engage with and represent our members and the wider Gladstone Region community, I believe has been felt and embraced.”
Ms Lane has been with GEA since October 2018; with a background in finance and business management she has extensive experience as a small business owner and operator.
Her father Max Lane of Canibee Engineering was one of the founding members of GEA in 2003.
