Carli Homann - Chief Executive Officer 

As CEO for Gladstone Engineering Alliance, Carli has continued to be at the forefront of advocating for and delivering supply chain optimisation via infrastructure development in the Gladstone Region to maintain sustainability for the area and its residents. Through this work, Carli acts as an intermediate and information source on major projects from the client side or the supplier side.

The sectors of focus are the gas, coal, and infrastructure sectors as well as supply chain management for the major projects and maintenance. Carli works to help businesses diversify into existing and new networks and typically works with general managers, procurement managers and business development executives to maximise outcomes. 

Carli is a member of Queensland’s Local Content Leaders Group with the Queensland Resources Council as an advocate for improved supplier participation for local projects. Carli also serves on committees incorporating business and council members to work through concerns and opportunities in the wider region, capturing information and providing analysis.

Carli holds a Bachelor of Creative Industries from the Queensland University of Technology and has continued to upskill in areas including Human Resources, Management, Training and Assessment, and International Business.

Julie Gelder - Projects and Grants Officer 

Julie joined GEA in 2015, bringing with her an extensive range of project management skills from a 30-year industry and training background. Within her role at GEA, Julie is tasked with preparing grant proposals to state and federal bodies, working within industry frameworks, building industry partnerships and opportunity and facilitating client needs.

Julie is responsible for designing business management and strategic development programs, with a focus on linking members with business opportunities and tending success in the resources, coal seam gas, mining and resource sector.

Kieran Moran - Communications, Marketing and Events Coordinator 

Kieran works to develop innovative and engaging media communication and marketing strategies to build business and community awareness of GEA and its members. With a exstensive background in government and corporate communications, journalism, and community development projects, Kieran uses his extensive network of media contacts to develop partnerships and promote the success and opportunities in the region. Kieran works to maximise media engagement and opportunities to give residents an understanding of the vital work in development and investment advocacy of GEA. As a social media expert Kieran works to grow the promotion and engagement of businesses and stakeholders through targeted campaigns. Kieran is also responsible for events and produces GEA’s marketing and communication materials including factsheets, reports, newsletters, promotional tools and releases.                                                  .

Megan Corrie - Project Coordinator: Skilling Queenslanders for Work

Megan Corrie is a highly experience Project Coordinator with a background in Recruitment, Human and Industrial Relations. Megan is responsible for GEA’s Skilling Queenslanders for Work Trainee Program working with aproximately 70-90 trainees per year gaining significant employment outcomes. 

The Skilling Queenslanders for Work – Community Work Project assists disadvantaged Queensland job seekers and low skilled workers to gain nationally recognised skills and qualifications. The GEA work with community partners to assist the trainees in their transition back to work within Business, Construction and Conservation and Land Management. The Skilling Queenslanders for Work project is proudly funded and supported by the Queensland Government.

Megan is responsible for assisting and finding job placement for a range of individuals and helps them develop skills, gain qualifications and provide direct assistance to enter and stay in the workforce. Megan has worked with organisations where she's been responsible for assisting and finding job placement for individuals that identified as “disadvantaged”, this work has seen Megan responsible for placing over 500 individuals into work over the past 2 years as well as referrals for many more.

Jason Lalo - IT, Events & Administration Officer.

Jason Lalo is responsible in managing GEA's IT and network infrastructure and a resource person for events and admin roles. He also maintains site pages and the CRM for GEA. 

Jason has over 18 years of experience in the areas of business operations, sales, marketing, administration and customer service. As a business administrator, he improved system procedures and conducted internal audits at multiple sites to ensure compliance andstandardisation of the processes are implemented. He also developed the solar energy division of a consulting company that formed a new profitable business division. Jason also designs and installs solar systems with high WHS standards.  Jason has completed his Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and holds a Certificate 1 in Business.
