The Gladstone Engineering Alliance will host the Federal Minister for Resources Senator Matt Canavan and the Minerals Council of Australia for the first Industry Update Event for 2018.

Proudly sponsored by LINX Cargo Care, the Resources Minister, Senator Canavan is strongly supportive of the Adani Carmichael Mine and passionate about water security in Northern and Central Queensland.  Senator Canavan will talk about what he believes to be the future of the resource sector in Central Queensland and what the current 'state of affairs' within the resource sector looks like including who is stifling and supporting the industry and future projects.

Senator Canavan's presentation will be accompanied with the Mining Council of Australia (MCA).  MCA represents Australia’s exploration, mining and minerals processing industry, nationally and internationally, in its contribution to sustainable development and society.  MCA have come under scrutiny recently in regard to their climate change policy in regard to the resources sector and like Senator Canavan, MCA will discuss what the current 'state of affairs' within the resource sector looks like and the future of mineral exploration in Central/Northern Queensland.

This exclusive industry update event will be held at Yaralla Sports Club.  Registration 11.30am for 12pm start - Concludes 1.30pm on Friday, March 16.
