  • Currently the manager engineering and projects at Gladstone Power Station (GPS)
  • Holds responsibility for the strategies, budgeting and executing of the overhauls, major refurbishment and capital works at GPS
  • Manages a multi-disciplined team of project managers and also develops the stations 5 year refurbishment plan and manages the contractors that undertake the majority of this work at GPS 

Bill Sugden – Manager Industrial Maintenance Roundtable, SIRF Roundtables

  • Highly experienced in Maintenance and Asset Management, having worked in a variety of consulting, senior management and staff positions relating to Operations, Maintenance and Asset Management over the last 34 years in aluminium smelting, coal mining, and petro/agri-chemical industry sectors.
  • Passionate about building 'Communities Of Practice' to help drive business improvement and optimisation, and nurturing development of personnel, through sharing of knowledge and experience across industrial and cultural boundaries

 

Derek Berg – Owner and CEO Berg Engineering

  • CEO of Berg Engineering since 1997 with extensive exposure to the family business
  • Expanded Berg Engineering into New Caledonia, across the east coast of Australia, Indonesia and Papua New Guinea
  • Experience on the London metal exchange with a non-ferrous metal trader
  • Degree in Commerce
